Let's talk about breathing: subtle, yet powerful.

MELANIE – Natural Talent Coaching & Training

Our breath regulates many aspects of our well-being, including our emotions and much more. We breathe not only through our respiratory system but also through our skin, a remarkable function that is often overlooked.

Breathing is innate; without it, life would not be possible. Yet certain emotions and unresolved inner tensions can disrupt our natural rhythm of breath and affect our sense of vital energy, intuition, creativity and physical presence. Over time, this may shape our inner experience, giving space to fears, anxiety, doubt and contributing to patterns of imbalance that can impact our overall well-being.

A simple gesture and yet so profound: observing your belly slowly rise as you inhale deeply, filled with a sense of love and then gently fall as you exhale slowly, fully releasing tension so the body can soften, unwind and return to ease.

From time to time, simply rolling up your sleeves to offer your forearms sunlight and fresh air can be enough for energy to start flowing again.
It’s a great start and it’s worth its weight in gold!

I would like to share my ritual, which unfolds in three steps, to be practiced whenever I feel the need. 1/ I inhale slowly and deeply, expanding my belly over a count of 6. 2/ I hold the breath for 6 counts (in this moment, my mind calms, relaxes, and becomes focused). 3/ I exhale over 8 to 12 counts, and then repeat the cycle two more timesor more if needed.

I must admit that I can do this today thanks to consistent repetition of this practice. At the beginning, I was using cycles of 3, 3, and 6 counts and that is already a wonderful start 🙂 A simple practice that brings well-being, costs nothing and makes a real difference. So let us remember to oxygenate our cells at any moment, it is completely natural!
